WALL•E

Nate and I took Abbie to see Wall•E today on the big screen! The last attempt at a movie at the theater was just her and daddy seeing Disney's Cars and she made it about 20 minutes in and then was done. Granted, it was over a year ago, but we still didn't know how she would do. She actually did really good! She loved that she got popcorn and her own "fizzy" drink (Sprite is saved for incredibly special occasions) and felt like a big girl in her own seat.

Raisin Bran?!

Both of our girls love Raisin Bran. Weird, I know, but their Daddy loves it too! Nate eats Raisin Bran religiously (seriously, we've gone through almost 14 boxes since Mid-March), so maybe it's in their genes.

She learned this trick from her Daddy...

This one from her Mommy...

And the hammy smile from her sister, Abbie...

Brought to you by... WIPEOUT!

Tonight was the premier of this new show called "Wipeout" which is pretty much a bunch of people competing for money on a crazy obstacle course. Eric and Jo were over for our regular Tuesday night dinner and we (children included) watched the show together. Immediately after the show, the girls decided they needed to create their own obstacle course. They would run around in a big circle through our dining room, kitchen and then living room, with the obstacle being jumping down from the ottoman for Abbie's little chair. Maggie (E & J's daughter) thought it was HYSTERICAL. Here are some of the highlights...

Buhby!

Natalie and Abbie love Liam. We're talking l-o-v-e. As soon as Natalie even so much as hears Joy's voice on the phone, the first words out of her mouth are usually "Buhby" (which is Liam's nickname). So they were in total heaven when we watched him this weekend!! Liam was such a good baby the whole weekend... He loves the fridge and the magnets on them and crawling around after the girls. I had geared myself up for the worst, but it was my girls that made the weekend hard!! Liam is such a little joy to be around. And he looks like a little Joy too... :)

Natalie melting down - doesn't she look pitiful?

Columbus Clippers

Tonight we took the girls to their first baseball game! They both seemed to really enjoy it, but that was probably because:
1. They got to eat lots of junk food.
2. Clifford the Big Red Dog was there supporting the Clippers.
3. There were lots of people to look at.
4. There was music to boogie to.
5. The big inflatable jumping thingy. :) Natalie seemed a little afraid of it, so this one is more for Abbie...

The weather was perfect (low-mid 70's and clear), so it really couldn't have been a better night.

Her first time bouncing:

So it's not super clear, but the look on her face is awesome.

Nothing like paying $3.50 for a slice of DiGiorno pizza.

To make the night even better, the Clippers won!

A little Boogie...

Little Mr. T

Nate and I were cleaning up from dinner (all the banging you hear in the video is me loading the dishwasher) and Abbie had brought her jewelry out to the hall and was loading Natalie up. As you'll see, there's no shortage of faux-jewels in this household! :)

Here's why the title is Little Mr. T:

Meet Sutton Andrew!

So I was given the amazing privilage of participating in the birth of this already amazing little man!! He arrived on Saturday, 6.7.08 (with an awesome birthday, no less) at 11:59AM weighing 9 lb. 6 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. He's already such a laid back little guy. Welcome to the family, Sutton! We love you already. Congrats Cindy and Dennis... You done good. :)

"I have to get my exercise"

Abbie was so incredibly excited to go to the kid's club at the gym tonight for the first time. It was almost a travesty when we signed up last week and she couldn't stay and play. She seemed to love her time in there tonight (yea!) and wanted to do weights as soon as we got home together so she could "get her exercise" done.

Apparently, the idea of fitness is very exciting to Abbie. Natalie on the other hand, was not so sure about being left in the new room without her Mommy and Daddy. Maybe next time will go a little more smooth...

A New Day!

So I took the plunge - I am now a blogger. Why?

Because:
  • I want to have a place for family and friends to see what the girls are up to now that our dropshots account is full.
  • I am years behind on my scrapbooking and I feel that this can help me keep a record of some of the amazing and amusing things that our girls say and do.
  • I joined a gym.... Hence the "a new day". I figured today was as good a day as any to complete it and I'm kinda into completing things these days, so here we go!
